Pakistan on Wednesday reiterated its stand that USA drone strikes within its territory were a threat to the sovereignty and security of the country and must stop.
Speaking to the media informally after attending President Mamnoon Hussain’s address to the joint parliament session in the federal capital, the army chief said drone strikes along the border areas of the country must stop.
During his presence in the lobby, the army chief briefly talked to parliamentarians and praised the spirit of the nation to fight terrorism.
To a question about CPEC, the Army Chief termed China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a national project which must be completed at any cost. He also lauded the efforts of those participating in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Talking to journalists on the occasion, the COAS said, “Our success rate in the war against terrorism is 99 percent and we will make sure it climbs to 100 percent”.
Tayyip Erdogan said that joint military exercises will enhance the existing close friendly ties between Pakistan and Turkey especially between the two armed forces.
Gen. Raheel said the rehabilitation and rebuilding process was continuing at a rapid pace in North and South Waziristan agencies.
