With the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary less than three weeks away, Trump appears to be postitioned well to walk out a victor.

Donald Trump boasted Saturday that support for his presidential campaign would not decline even if he shot someone in the middle of a crowded street.

As the protesters were escorted out of the event, Trump remarked on one of the protesters, who was wearing a red turban, similar to those members of the Sikh religion wear. A CNN/ORC poll has Trump up in Iowa with 37 percent to 26 percent for Cruz, who has led in some other Iowa polls.

Radio host Glenn Beck spoke at a Ted Cruz rally Saturday in Iowa where he announced his support for the Texas senator.

“Donald Trump is not a conservative, and you need a conservative to lead the conservative party into the general election”, two-time Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said on ABC’s “This Week, touting his endorsement by former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole”.

“Yeah, if he got the nomination, if everything was fine I would vote for Ted Cruz”, he said. “It’s a guy who stands on his principles relentlessly”, Beck said.

“I have the most loyal people, did you ever see that?”

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?”. Despite what he’s said in the past, Trump might have gone too far while speaking to a crowd of supporters over the weekend.

Trump began suggesting earlier this month that Cruz’s Canadian birth could endanger Republicans’ chances of winning the White House, arguing that Democrats would sue to keep Cruz out of the White House.

It’s a good day for The Donald as two new polls have him out in front in Iowa, with just a little more than a week left before the Feb 1. caucuses. In response, many tweeters criticised Trump for his comments. I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not supposed to say bad things, but really, folks, come on.

My advice is that the other candidates must get behind a single candidate who is a gentleman, experienced and qualified to be president rather than the likes of a divisive, irresponsible, egomaniac Trump or the unsafe Tea Party Cruz.
