Congress, SAD hit out at Sukhpal Singh Khaira after he joins AAP
The Punjab Congress suffered a serious setback on Friday when its firebrand chief and former MLA from Bholath Sukhpal Khaira joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) within the presence of its senior leaders Sanjay Singh, in-cost of Punjab affairs and MP Bhagwant Mann right here. While the Congress termed it a “good riddance” for party, the SAD, said move shows “political opportunism” of AAP. He said that Rahul Gandhi’s decision to reinstate “tainted” leaders as commanders of the Punjab Congress had disappointed him. The report of his wife Preneet Kaur and his son Raninder Singh stashing black money in swiss accounts have also emerged.
