Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken told reporters here that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should seek Hussain’s resignation.

According to Congress, these videos are about conversation between AAP minister Imran Hussain’s staffer Hammad and complainant Qasim, a builder. While convincing the builder, he was also heard saying that the minister spent crores of rupees to contest the elections, hence he was demanding money. Mr Kejriwal said the dismissal evidenced his government’s “zero-tolerance” for any sort of graft.

In the audio clips, the minister’s brother is heard asking the house owner about “samaan” and as to when it would be delivered, while the Junior Engineer was trying to impress upon him to give money to the minister.

“I do not even know the people who are there in the sting operation, let alone them being related to me. If Ajay Maken proves the allegations Imran will quit politics”, said AAP government’s spokesperson. He said he welcomes the Congressman’s call for a CBI inquiry as long as it also includes Mr Maken’s role. Replying to questions, the Congress leader said if an impartial probe is held, Kejriwal too “cannot remain untouched” as there have been charges of selling tickets during polls.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the veteran politician released three video clips which purportedly indicates that AAP cabinet minister Imran Hussain was demanding bribe from through his brother Furqan Hussein for allotment of land in NCR region.
