In Paducah, prices range from $1.90 to $2.09. At the same time, gasoline supply is expected to return to robust levels in the USA and not surprisingly, the national average, $2.19 / gal., has declined by 6 cents per gallon in just the past week.
“Gas prices keep falling because oil prices are low and gasoline supply continues to outpace demand”, said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. Significant yearly savings persist, and the national average is discounted by 85 cents per gallon from this same date a year ago. Oil settled as high as $45.89 last Monday, then finished the week at $44.60. That’s about 76 cents less than it was at the same point past year.

A year ago at this time, the state average was $2.95 for regular fuel. In Metropolis, IL, prices are ranging from $2.15 to $2.39. Texas average is still lower than the national average of $2.22, AAA said. Los Angeles has an average price at $2.94 versus $3.42 a year ago; Chicago’s average was $2.52 versus $3.29 a year ago; and New York stood at $2.43 versus $3.42 last year.
