Conor McGregor defeated Nate Diaz in their UFC 202 rematch
Donald Cerrone was rooting for Nate Diaz to defeat Conor McGregor a second time in the main event of UFC 202 this past weekend.

The highly anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz headlined UFC 202 Saturday night, and the results saw McGregor pull out a tight majority decision that saw one judge call the fight a draw.
It was a fantastic matchup and easily one of the best fights of the year.
“Surprise, surprise mother–. The king is back“, McGregor said inside the octagon in a postfight interview, echoing a similar comment Diaz made after he won the first fight between the two in March.
“I’m the 145-pound champion”.
Diaz, who fights out of Stockton, California, survived the early knockdowns and came back in the third round by out landing the featherweight champion and walking through his punches and kicks. Come back to 155 [pounds].
Could it be defending the UFC featherweight title? In the interim, the UFC also had Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo fight for an interim 145 belt in July, and the latter took that fight by decision. McGregor KO’d Aldo in 13 seconds.
McGregor gave a thumbs up to Diaz’s request for a trilogy, but he stressed that it would not take place again at 170 pounds as he would like to have it at lightweight, which has a weight limit of 155 pounds.
“I didn’t think for a second I lost the fight”, Diaz said.
But it all may be moot.
“I’m not doing (expletive) until we go for round three”, he said. What White says usually goes.
“I was back there hooting and hollering for Nate”, he said. “I got to show my heart in there”.
Before hobbling away on a broken foot McGregor left the door open for a trilogy fight between the pair. Every single fighter doubted me.

McGregor has the UFC featherweight title to defend against former rival Jose Aldo or risk being stripped of the crown, while a possible superfight against boxer Floyd Mayweather – nearly certain to be a boxing match rather than a mixed martial arts affair – has been mooted with both men publicly declaring their interest.
