Conor McGregor Edges Nate Diaz, and the Trilogy Is On
Famously, Diaz won the first fight between the two having accepted to stand-in at just 11 days’ notice. That was the reason why he ultimately scored the contest a 47-47 draw and denied McGregor the unanimous decision.

Conor McGregor spoke to the media after getting back to winning ways at UFC 202, prevailing over Nate Diaz in an instant classic.
Both of them are set to battle for a third time if all things go well after McGregor called Diaz out for a trilogy fight.
“It’ll be at 155-pounds, maybe for the belt”. “I came up to 170 [pounds] to test the bigger man, face adversity”.
“I knew he would have success early”, Diaz said.
UFC 202, T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Diaz vs. McGregor results are here.
Diaz insisted his next outing will only be a rubber match against McGregor.
The second round was more of the same, as McGregor knocked down Diaz twice more, before Diaz staged a comeback, dominating the final minute of the round. Diaz continued to attack in round three, and for the final 90 seconds of round four, the fighters stood in the center of the cage and exchanged punches.
In one of the most highly anticipated fights in UFC history the Irishman reigned supreme with a majority decision victory. I want the trilogy, but it’s on my terms. With $3 milllion for McGregor and $2 million for Diaz you can be certain they have atleast 5 million reasons to do it again.
McGregor evened the score in his rivalry with Nate Diaz by outpointing him Saturday night at UFC 202 in a rematch of their two-round welterweight thriller in March.
Nearly immediately, both combatants started talking rubber match. McGregor got the nod from two judges, though, and revenge was his.
This was followed up with leg kicks and straight shots that saw him easily win the first round. Garbrandt, known for his power, wasted no time in pressuring Mizugaki, landing a flurry of punches that sent Mizugaki to his knees.

“I respect him as a veteran”, Garbrandt said. “He tried, I tried to take each other out and it didn’t get done”, said the Californian. I’ve got to talk about what’s next because there’s a lot of options.
