Conor McGregor gears up to dismantle ‘repetitive’ Nate Diaz
His name is Conor McGregor, he’s the featherweight champion of the UFC, and he’s fighting in Las Vegas this weekend.

Asked at a press conference ahead of the fight if he could be the man to break the billion-dollar barrier for the UFC, McGregor was adamant.
Instead, the decision by the cocky, charismatic McGregor to step up to welterweight to fight Diaz has opened up a myriad of possible title shots.
McGregor (19-2) was originally scheduled to fight Rafael Dos Anjos at the March 5 event, but the lightweight champion was forced out of the out after breaking his foot during a sparring session.
The duo, who meet in a welterweight main event on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, did split-screen media interviews following their confrontation in Las Vegas. During the face-off, things went out of hand between the fighters as UFC boss Dana White had to intervene. “Obviously this is a really big challenge for me to take, and a lot of people think it was even silly”.
McGregor added that he understood the feeling of prejudice due to his family’s long history of warfare. Living up to his bad-boy reputation, Diaz’s idea of politicking included a tweet saying, “he’s going to have to get on his knees and beg”, the “he” no doubt being McGregor.
“Look at Nate’s last fight”.
McGregor also quashed the gap between him and Diaz following a very heated press conference and emphasized that it is all about business. After these two ladies fight they said if they are healthy enough they are both gonna go out or drinks together to celebrate.
“They’re flipping each other off and we’re making each other friendship bracelets”, Tate laughed. He says Nate is scared of the spotlight and is trying to pass the limelight off. Diaz came off the bench and has had little time for training.
When they posed following Thursday’s news conference, Diaz approached McGregor with his fist pointing at McGregor’s face. I am with this company and that’s it. It got me into the game so to be rising up and to be neck and neck is where we want to be.

And in classic McGregor style he then somehow turned the tables on Diaz yet again by suggesting that his opponent actually perform for him as a show of gratitude for getting the biggest payday of his career on Saturday night whether he wins or loses. I’m open-minded, I love competition and I love fighting.
