Conor McGregor potentially faces a six month absence from the Octagon
It’s a sport and we have to accept.

The UFC brass has been pretty much silent on granting Jose Aldo an immediate rematch with Conor McGregor, but Jon Jones is questioning the promotion’s plans.
But if he wants a shot at the lightweight belt, he’ll have to fight UFC president Dana White for the right to keep the featherweight title at the same time.
But McGregor (19-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC), whose confidence is higher than ever after knocking out Aldo (25-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) in 13 seconds, believes he can close that gap.
Those 13 seconds also made the Crumlin man rich beyond his wildest dreams and the breakdown of his earnings per second are unbelievable.
Aldo pulled out two weeks before his last scheduled fight with McGregor in July, citing a rib injury, and perhaps that would have been the wiser move this time around, too.
“You’ve had some fantastic fights and an wonderful reign as a champion and I look forward to seeing you inside the Octagon again”, Rogan said. The former champion simply shrugged these comments off, claiming the prediction were simply unfounded. That was never more evident than when he offered to step in on short notice and fight Dustin Poirier in the main event at UFC Dublin before his fight against Aldo. Now it’s easy. Now say, “ah, that Aldo lost, they did not know what”.
“I’m only warming up”, said the new champ, who banked a disclosed $500,000 for his win before undisclosed bonuses. “That does not exist”.
“If I go to that lightweight division, there’s no way in hell that I’m vacating my belt”.
Aldo was humiliated by McGregor after months and months of trash talk from the Irish challenger.
Asked if he will be looking for a rematch, he said, “Of course, if God wills it, now, firstly I want to get back to gym and come back stronger”. Not only me, but my career speaks for itself.
“It wasn’t this time, but we will come out victorious, for sure”, Aldo said. It is a sport, we have to accept. Not only winning one lives life.

“If god wills it, we will come back a lot stronger, and we will bounce back. Tell me one other champion who has been like that”, he added.
