Conor McGregor shows massive respect to CM Punk after UFC debut
The temptation to introduce this piece by saying that the CM Punk experiment has ended in failure is nearly irresistible, but the former WWE superstar’s post-fight interview with Joe Rogan suggests that this experiment is far from over. Gall stated at the post-fight presser that Punk was a great actor going into the fight, but his real skillset was exposed in the fight.

It was a tall task for Punk as he stepped into the Octagon at 37-years of age with no prior fight experience, but he wanted to challenge himself with a new career in mixed martial arts.
A moment later, Punk tapped the canvas handing Gall his second win in the UFC while the former WWE star fell to 0-1 as a professional.
Despite the defeat, Punk maintained that he would give UFC another try, promising to return in the near future. I don’t know. Everybody has a different perspective. I just don’t want to see him in the Octagon again. “I told him that everyone else is going to say that about you through your entire career”.
The human experiment that was CM Punk’s MMA debut went just as many predicted.
“I want “Super” Sage Northcutt”.
“I think it shows that he’s still not a fighter to the degree other guys are”, he said.
“I’m not just going to shelve it and leave it in the middle of the street, I’ve gotta get back on and ride”.
UFC supremo Dana White believes Punk is being thrown in at the deep end and has tipped him to struggle. I lost and it sucks and it was lopsided and it’s upsetting. I knew what to expect. “But it’s not like I fought a good fight”, Punk said, as quoted by MMAJunkie.
“I love to jump back in there as quickly as I can to erase that”. I’ve beat up 10 year guys and been doing it since I was a teenager. This was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life – second best night of my life, besides marrying my wife, obviously.

“I know there’s a lot of doubters, but listen, life is about falling down and getting up”.
