Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz UFC rematch could be a while

Another weekend of fisticuffs has come and gone, as UFC 202 went down last Saturday night (Aug. 20, 2016) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Some might not be this sport”, he said.

“The rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz proved to be a huge success with venues packed with fans across the country”, Duldig said. He echoed that sentiment after the fight as well.

This rematch between Diaz and McGregor started with the same way the original fight had gone, a almost flawless five minutes from Conor.

It was the 28-year-old’s coach, John Kavanagh, who, back in February as the featherweight champion moved to welterweight, coined the catchphrase “you’ve seen him on salad, not watch him on steak”.

The Irishman took down Diaz twice more in the second round, bloodying his nose and appearing to have total control of the fight. The WWE would get a lot of buzz if they can make it happen while McGregor makes a ton of money. ‘They can’t have a m**********r like me win, I’m too real for this. S**t is about to hit the fan, I feel. “It certainly lit a fire under my belly”, McGregor said on Saturday night.

He didn’t elaborate. However, the brash Irishman must have something in the works.

“I think I gotta go do the 155, Eddie Alvarez fight”, Cerrone said in his post-fight interview, calling for it to happen at UFC 205 on November 12 at Madison Square Garden in NY.

Jake Shields is Nate Diaz’s teammate, so naturally he believes that his guy pulled the fight out. McGregor, the reigning 145-pound champion, wants it to take place at 155. Diaz is a natural 155-pounder. “This is my second chance at a title, so I really want to go out there”.

McGregor also didn’t seem interested in fighting Jose Aldo again. “They’re gonna get me out where they can, but it’s all good though….” While he was able to regain some strength in the fourth round, you could see in the fifth that he was simply looking to go to a decision, knowing he had a broken foot and not much energy left. I don’t know what’s next.

“I think (I was more dominant than McGregor) after the first round all the way through”.

Right now in the UFC, there are two types of cards. Eddie Alvarez said he wanted to fight the victor of McGregor-Diaz 2. Don’t expect to see him in the Octagon again until he fights McGregor for the trilogy, which will be at 155lbs. For this training camp and fight, though, I think McGregor changed his mentality and truly embraced the grind, and it fully paid off.
