Conservative female pundits want Trump to fire his campaign manager
During a televised town hall event on Tuesday night, CNN’s Anderson Cooper questioned Trump on his continued support for his campaign manager, who has been charged with assaulting a Breitbart reporter.

Lewandowski has denied Fields’ claims, and Trump appeared on several news programs on Wednesday to stand up for his top aide. “I stay with people”, Mr. Trump said at an impromptu press conference aboard his private jumbo jet.
“I’m sure there will be a counterclaim coming down the line”, he told ABC News.
Trump claims the reporter made the story up when talking to one network, while saying to another that Lewandowski had grabbed the woman unknowingly.
Conservative radio host Dana Loesch, Townhall editor Katie Pavlich, Fox News contributor Meghan McCain and 13 other female conservatives signed a letter on Wednesday stating that Lewandowski’s “inexcusable” and “unprofessional” behavior toward former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields was grounds for termination.
But Fields ignored the warning and refused to back off which seemingly prompted Lewandowski to move her to the side of the press frenzy, according to the Secret Service source.
Mr Cruz’s campaign responded to the arrest by lamenting the “abusive behaviour” that they said seems to be part of the Trump campaign culture. “Was that Corey? You should have felt how hard he just grabbed me”.
“He tweeted that he never touched her”, Lauer told Trump. In another Twitter post, he asked: “Why aren’t people looking at this reporter’s earliest statement as to what happened, that is before she found out the episode was on tape?” She’s not supposed to. But security footage of the event released by the Jupiter Police Department March 29 appears to show Lewandowski grabbing Fields.
“If you’re in the middle of a political scrum, those things happen”, the NY congressman said.
Trump has defended Lewandowski and insists that his campaign manager did nothing illegal. “And it shows that she’s a very aggressive person who is grabbing at me and touching me”. “She had a pen in her hand, which Secret Service does not like because they don’t know what it is – is it a little bomb?”.

Judging by Trump’s initial response to the charges, though-along with everything we know about him-it seems very much as though he will not pursue this strategy.
