Conte happy with Chelsea’s flawless start, calls for further improvement

At Stamford Bridge it is going to be tough because the players will be up against not only some great players, but also a Chelsea home ground that are very loud and energetic.

“We are working close together, the club and I, and we are trying to find the right solutions to improve this squad”.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, who expects to take Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford on loan tomorrow, said: “The first half that was as poor as we’ve been in a year, against a very, very strong group”.

“I can also say that his performance can still improve”.

“It was a good game and performance and we played good football with good possession”.

The 25-year-old, a £9million signing from Wigan in 2012, struck the second in a tense 3-2 victory over League One opponents Rovers to notch his first goal for Chelsea since 2013 and remains confident he can still make an impact at the club.

“To start the season with three wins and a win in the cup is good for all, for the confidence of the players and the fans”, he told the Blues’ official website.

“I think the most important thing is, after 13 games that we conceded a goal at home, today we didn’t concede”, Conte said.

“But I’m pleased for his work-rate and commitment during the training session”.

The result ensures Conte maintains his flawless Premier League record as Chelsea boss, with three victories from his first three games, and sees the Blues enter the worldwide break top of the league, albeit temporarily.

If Chelsea are to win the title this season, they will need the winger at his best.

“These are players with great talent, fantastic in one versus one”.

“So for this reason I told my players to pay attention”.

Burnley are the only team in the Barclays Premier League yet to spend a dime in transfer fees, and while their squad was good enough to get them easy promotion to the top flight, it might not be good enough to keep them there. We have three goalkeepers now: the first is Courtois, the second is Begovic, the third is Eduardo. “We know the challenge that’s ahead of us and we know there’s a group that we’d more be hoping to get points against and we know there’s a group that’s more hard to get points against, particularly away from home, and Chelsea come into that”.
