The Italian tactician has been highly successful in his last two jobs with Juventus and Italy respectively, and he’ll be aiming to continue that trend at Stamford Bridge.

‘We have been working well and looking for what the coach wants.

“I played a very bad season last season”.

“N’Golo is a good player and he was a target of our market”. Conte stressed, however, that he won’t be trapped in any bidding wars for players, preferring to purchase “right” players for the right amount of money. “I like to see that”, Conte said. “It’s important because there are others players that must play”. “This is the most important thing, to transfer our passion and transfer it to fans and players. I adapt my idea within my players”. “It’s incredible. When you touch a player it’s very hard because you must pay a lot of money”, he said.

“They are good signings, sure”.

“Last season we lost Esteban Cambiasso and everybody was crying”, he told reporters after the Foxes penalty shootout victory over Celtic in the International Champions Cup.

Conte also backed captain John Terry, who signed a new one-year contract in May after it appeared he was destined to leave the club, to play a big part this season – although he suggested the 35-year-old may not play as regularly.

“He’s very young, but great potential”.

“I think N’Golo is a bit shy”.

Chelsea succeeded in signing N’Golo Kante.

Ahead of the new Premier league season, new Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte has urged his players to maintain the aggression and high intensity of football shown in pre-season.
