In Baton Rouge, Gov. John Bel Edwards led a prayer vigil, delivering remarks with leaders from the community and elected city officials.
In less than 48 hours, two black men were killed at the hands of law enforcement officers.

On Thursday, protesters gathered for a third night at the store where Sterling was shot to death as they tried to make sense of recent events, including a fatal shooting in Minnesota.
