U.S. Olympic volleyball players April Ross and Brooke Sweat’s journey to Rio nearly hit a major snag after a delayed flight from Houston forced them to miss their Miami connection to Rio.

Over the weekend, the chef de mission for the Australian Olympic team, Kitty Chiller, said she saw thieves leaving the athletes’ village with Zika protection team shirts and a laptop.

American Airlines tweeted at Ross that they would look to get her on the next available flight, which again, was apparently a week later. USA Volleyball then took action, finding the two a flight on United Airlines, ensuring they would be there for the ceremonies.
