Controversy surrounds start of DNC
Emails posted to the website Wikileaks show that at least some DNC officials were looking at ways to undercut Sanders’ campaign, including questioning his religious beliefs.

Five years ago, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was put in charge of the Democratic National Committee to usher in a new era for the party.
Sanders endorsed Clinton on July 12 and – in negotiations with her campaign – managed to get her to include in the party platform issues such as abolishing the death penalty, increasing the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour and expanding the Social Security program by raising taxes on people earning more than $250,000 per year.
Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa says he’s sorry to see Wasserman Schultz leave.
“We’ve got to challenge the corporate power in the Democratic Party represented by Hillary Clinton today”, Solomon said. The DNC is supposed to be neutral throughout the primary process, but Sanders spent much of it accusing the DNC and its chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Fla., of supporting Clinton behind the scenes.
Wasserman Schultz was in Cleveland last week for the Republican National Convention and tweeted to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus that she was available to help if he needed someone to run the convention, her way of poking fun at all the negative media attention the convention was receiving.
Wagnon’s vote for Party Nominee will be cast on this convention floor later this week.
Democrats are hoping that focusing on Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee, will galvanize the party to rally around Mrs. Clinton.
“Donald Trump painted a dark picture of an America in decline”. “As Party Chair, this week I will open and close the Convention and I will address our delegates about the stakes involved in this election not only for Democrats, but for all Americans”, she said.
A controversy over bias within the party leadership favouring Hillary Clinton has rocked the Democratic Party on the eve of its national convention in Philadelphia. There are other steps that have to happen, but this is a first step in the right direction.
Clinton herself will deliver her acceptance speech. But Democrats said their more urgent task is to pump up Clinton and tell voters her story and motivations. “And I’ll move to Canada”. “What’s in those emails show that it was a clearly rigged system, that Bernie Sanders… never had a chance”, Manafort said on ABC. “No one here has been talking about them”, Mills, a Clinton delegate, said in a telephone interview Sunday night. Bernie Sanders’s chances during the primaries. By the end of the day, some of Sanders’s supporters mulled putting an alternate name into nomination in opposition to Kaine. They did not succeed in an effort to pass an amendment abolishing superdelegates, but they did win a compromise deal with the Clinton camp – a “unity commission” that will review the overall procedures and will seek to limit the role of superdelegates in future elections.
