Convention says “We like Mike!” during Pence’s VP acceptance speech
The Republican campaign sparked a controversy when party’s presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate Mike Pence expressed contradicting views on America’s North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies.

He also praised the “unity” the convention created despite the floor fight over the convention’s roll call and the loud boos that Ted Cruz received when he declined to endorse Trump in his convention speech.
“I’m very confident that Donald Trump will stand by our allies and stop apologizing to our enemies”, Pence told Fox, adding later: “We’re going to begin to say to allies around the world that the time has come for them and their citizens to carry the cost of these global obligations”.
“The President is supposed to be the leader of the free world”.
Donald Trump accepted the Republican nomination for president Thursday and vowed to end growing violence in America if elected. Pence proved ready for his prime-time debut on the national stage with a speech that was well structured and well delivered. “What a morning”, Pence said emotionally.
“No one knows the system better than me”, he said. Gingrich suggested we test all Muslim-Americans to see how they feel about Sharia as articulated in ancient Islamic scriptures.
Current polls show Trump and Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton are almost tied among Pennsylvania voters.
In his speech, Pence said he plans to balance out Trump’s “large personality, colorful style, and lots of charisma” on the ticket, which Colbert characterized as “Crazy-Boring 2016”. Pence is also preparing to play an active role on the fundraising circuit, tapping his strong connections to some of the GOP’s deepest pockets to help raise millions of dollars for the Trump campaign.
Mr. Trump said America’s problems of poverty and violence at home and war and destruction overseas will last “as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them”.
He attacked bad worldwide trade deals.
So if you think that Pence’s move to the national stage is a sensational story, there’s another one just over the horizon.
“From the Christian conservative standpoint”, Aderholt said, “Trump says the right stuff and I don’t question it necessarily”. He said Trump will have plenty of support if he wins the election. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker departed the race early; on July 20, he urged support for Trump.
Americans who love their country and their children, he said, should “stand and speak and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution”.
On Thursday, he made a number of appearances, including one at the IN delegation breakfast. He asked them not to write in his name in November.
Bishop enjoyed hearing from his friend and former colleague, Indiana Governor and Nominee for Vice President Mike Pence, saying Pence “respects federalism”.
But Pence’s speech, widely touted as an impressive introduction of his candidacy to the nation, was the eye in yet another unprecedented storm.

He could gain points for signing Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law previous year, allowing businesses to refuse to serve certain customers on religious grounds.
