Cooler With Rain Showers

Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that a storm approaching from the Rockies will spread another round of showers across the state for Tuesday and Wednesday.

AccuWeather predicts a quarter of an inch of rain for Harrisburg on Wednesday. It also, thankfully, kept coastal flooding below flood stage. Those clouds could be stubborn to break for points north of the Lehigh Valley, but we should gradually see some sun emerge from south to north as the day progresses.

Friday: Mostly cloudy skies. Winds N 5-15 miles per hour. It was on Monday of last week when we had heavy sleet followed by heavy rain. Loop is via WeatherTap.

A few light showers will be possible later this evening for areas near Bedford, Bloomfield and Bloomington. Showers will be widespread by early Monday morning. We will remain dry through the night. You may not have to wait too long. There could be a few hazy spots late. There’s a caveat, though. Currently, I am forecasting mostly sunny skies for next weekend. For example, if you’re paving a road, you need it nearly completely dry. This will then continue into the evening. Highs in the mid- to upper 60s.

Dry air is a wonderful thing.

Despite the chilly start in the low 30s, things should warm up quite a bit into the afternoon hours.

Thursday night: Clouds increase. It won’t be especially strong, but it will have plenty of Atlantic moisture to work with. The timing will still need to be worked out.

Today: Temps in the 60’s with lots of sunshine.
