Coolpad Mega 2.5D smartphone launched at Rs 6999 in India
And as with other Chinese smartphone manufacturers, Coolpad is also trying to capitulate the growing Indian smartphone market, targeting the low-priced segment and providing value for money devices.

Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India spoke extensively on the need to stay ahead of the times as the country surges forward on technology.
Coolpad launched Mega 2.5D Smartphone at a price tag of Rs. 6,999 and will be available on its first flash sale in Amazon India from 2 pm on August 24, 2016.
The Coolpad Mega has an 8-megapixel camera on the front as well as on the rear.
The device runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the in-house CoolUI 8.0 skin atop. The user interface includes theme support; smart pattern unlocks and a lot of unique features.
Specifications: The new Coolpad Mega smartphone features a 2.5D glass 5.5-inch IPS HD 720×1280 pixels resolution display with 267ppi Pixel density.
The smartphone sports an 8MP rear and front camera. The primary front camera has a f/2.2 aperture with an 83.6-degree field view and an “image beautification” mode. It is powered by a 1GHz Quad core MediaTek MT67355P Processor with 3GB RAM. The Sky 3 is equipped with 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. Sporting a metal-texture frame, the handset weighs 143gm and is 7.85mm thin. If the company does launch the Sky 3 today and at this price range, the smartphone will be placed in a segment dominated by the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, and the Lenovo ZUK Z1 to name a few.
