It expects to roll out half a million devices from its facility in Maharashtra and the first indigenously manufactured Coolpad phones will be available by the first quarter of the next financial year. The device supports up to 64GB microSD cards.
The Coolpad Note 3 is available in White shade at a worth of Rs. eight, 999 and will probably be out there exclusively on the e-retail retailer, Amazon.in via flash sale ranging from October 20th at 2PM.
The new phone comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, running on Android 5.1 out of the box and houses the Mediatek MT6753 SoC which has an octa-core processor. This is the same smartphone that was launched in China as ‘Coolpad Dazen Note 3’ with little modifications in specifications.
“The Indian consumer knows his smartphones well and it is imperative we develop a successful product that is both robust and technically sound”.
On the spec sheet, the Coolpad Note 3 does look promising.

“This is first time we are launching smart devices in our own brand name”. The notable thing about the device is that it trots copious amounts of RAM, 4G connectivity and has premium features like a fingerprint scanner. Could it be a tough competitor for other leading brands in mid-range category? The smartphone was released long before in China. “However it all boils down to the price of the product and we have chose to modify that too, as it is Coolpad’s philosophy to bring affordable technology to all”, he said.
