The second police officer managed to dodge the bullets and shoot down one of the suspects.

The Atlantic City Police Department referred all inquiries to the Atlantic City Prosecutor’s Office, who did not have any updates on the investigation Sunday. As one Atlantic City police officer exited the vehicle he was shot and injured.

One officer was shot while exiting the patrol auto.

The wounded officer, whose name was not released, was taken to nearby AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

The video released Saturday shows two groups of three men walking.

New Jersey State Police located Martell Chisholm, 19, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Demetrius Cross, 28, in Millville, New Jersey. The two suspects along with their slain companion, 25-year-old Jerome Damon, were allegedly attempting to rob three other men when cops came upon them. It said authorities are seeking the identities of these men.

One of the suspects was then fatally shot, White said.

During a news conference on Sunday to discuss the city’s storm preparations, Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian said the officer is “doing remarkably well”.

“These charges are the result of an unprecedented effort by law enforcement from local, county, state and federal agencies who worked tirelessly throughout the day to identify and locate the suspects”, said Diane Ruberton, acting prosecutor. Police were still looking for two other suspects and closed streets in the area. Two suspects were in custody Saturday night.

A $20,000 reward is now being offered for information in the police shooting outside casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The policeman was shot after he and his partner went to check on a group of people who they believed were “engaged in criminal activity” just after 2.30am on Saturday morning.
