Cellphone video shows Kinsey lying on his back with his hands in the air while trying to coax Arnaldo Rios back to a nearby group home.

Cellphone video from a bystander captured what transpired.

A union official has said the officer was aiming for the autistic man because he thought he was a threat, but the officer missed and hit the therapist.

Monday’s shooting comes amid weeks of violence involving police.

“His injuries are long lasting because he does not have a method to deal with them”, the attorney said.

Kinsey was released from the hospital Thursday night. Another video released by his attorney shows both men flat on the ground, with two officers standing near them.

Pastor Kinsey said his nephew was handcuffed and left lying in the street for 20 minutes until an ambulance arrived.

“By being a little more patient, the situation will work itself through”, he said.

Charles Kinsey, his behavior therapist, was trying to help him when police responded to a 911 call about a suicidal man with a gun. While many police departments require Crisis Intervention Training, the course is not mandatory for North Miami police officers, and it is unclear whether or not the officer who shot Kinsey ever participated.

In a written statement this week, Aledda said he “took this job to save lives and help people”. “I did what I had to do in a split second”.

“All he has is a toy truck…a toy truck”, Kinsey can be heard saying in the video as he attempts to tell Soto to sit still.

He tried to explain to police what was happening and that his patient has autism and was not going to hurt anyone. He asked his patient to be still and lie down.

Kinsey demonstrates how he held his hands up when police shot him for hospital visitors. Kinsey was sent to calm him down and bring him back. After we sacrificed baby-faced Tamir Rice, and so many others, my gut tells me no. “Wow, was I wrong”, he told a television station.

The shooting sparked nationwide outrage following the fatal police shootings of two other black men, Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, La. and Philando Castile in suburban St. Paul, Minn.

Vice Mayor Alix Desulme said he supports the chief and also sent his sympathy to the Kinsey family.

Earlier in the day, Chief Gary Eugene said the agency will be transparent as the investigation unfolds. “The State Attorney’s Office is also looking at the case”. Authorities are investigating the shooting. He was placed on administrative leave, police said. When questioned about the incident, Holland reportedly told investigators that he was not at the scene when the incident occurred. “Freezing. But he was still shot”, said Wilson, a Democrat.

“Especially when you see that the man is on the ground with his hands up, he’s talking very loud”. “He remembered what happened, and he ran outside toward the same spot where Charles was shot”, she said, “and he started screaming, ‘Blood!”

“Our kids love electronics”, she said. It is not required in North Miami.
