Cops: Mom left tots inside SUV — while at bar

35-year-old April King was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of child neglect, after multiple Froggers patrons called 911, and reported seeing two children in a vehicle while she was inside the bar downing a vodka and orange juice.

On the other hand, the woman denies the charges and claims that she never went to the bar and didn’t drink there.

April Renee King left the children in an SUV on August 9 so she could drink at Froggers Grill & Bar. The best part of the whole incident was the fact that the kids were not harmed.

The husband told police that his wife had an alcohol problem and said she should go to jail.

Guess who cops said blew into the machine?

An employee at the AT&T store nearby confirmed King went into the shop, but said there were no children with her. King had turned off the vehicle while taking to police, and it was then that one officer noticed her four-year-old blowing into a breathalyzer. Because it was equipped with an interlock device, the system began to sound.

King was then taken into custody.

“She got in the vehicle, rode around the block but came back and parked again”, Jackson said. “(April’s 4-year-old son) could be seen blowing into the device”, the report said.

According to the report, when the officer asked the boy whether he did this often, the boy gave a puzzled look and King said she’d only had the device for two days. She was slurring her speech, smelled of alcohol and was unstable on her feet, according to the arrest affidavit.
