Corbyn suggests Labour members could have say in choosing shadow cabinet
Mr Smith has indicated he backs the move while Mr Corbyn’s team has suggested the party could consider giving all party members a vote on the make-up of the shadow cabinet.

An internal memo from rival Owen Smith’s camp says Mr Corbyn’s “moderate” opponent is now just six points behind on 39.85 per cent to 45.79 per cent. To laughter and boos, Smith claimed that he was incredibly confident of beating Corbyn when the result is announced on 24 September.

“How many people do the Labour Party employ, have they got enough people to listen to all of these hearings for these thousands of people who have been suspended?”
“But political leaders also need to commit to strong and effective means of enforcing those laws because if oversight is not to be provided by the EU Commission and the European Court of Justice in future, then the lead must come from government and the United Kingdom courts”.
