Corker, Ernst Say ‘No Thanks’ to Being Trump’s Veep
Trump, who is expected to announce his vice presidential pick before the Republican National Convention, has been meeting with potential running mates and announcing it on social media.

Corker, 63, said his decision to withdraw from consideration as vice president opened up “a candid conversation” with Trump and his team about policy and other roles he might play.
Corker said Wednesday that he’d gone into the meetings telling Trump’s team that he felt he was “far more suited for other kinds of service”.
Sen. Bob Corker has withdrawn from consideration to be Donald Trump’s running mate, and it appears that Iowa Sen. “Really, we’re looking to go more the political route in terms of getting legislation passed, which is what they do, and I think, frankly, we don’t want to do the executive orders like Obama’s been doing”, he said.
