Coronation Street cast and crew will be hoping everything goes smoothly and that no one repeats the mistake of EastEnders star Jo Joyner who, as the BBC soap’s Tanya Branning, called Albert Square’s Ian Beale “Adam”, the name of actor Adam Woodyatt during their live episode.

The Mirror reports that some of the soap’s regulars are annoyed at the fact that some rehearsals have caused them to work late into the night.

Ahead of the broadcast, the IBTimes United Kingdom has rounded up what viewers can expect from the action-packed live episode… It is a huge landmark to be a part of and the cast has been rehearsing day and night over the past few weeks due to one storyline in particular expected to reach a dramatic climax.

Kelly also spoke about last week’s announcement that producer Stuart Blackburn will be leaving at the end of the year, and is being replaced by Emmerdale’s Kate Oakes.

“He’s just seen a wonderful exit for Hayley which brought regularly over 10 million viewers, which is incredible, and two Baftas for us…”

After the episode, Stephen will then jump from the live stream to ITV2 where he’ll be rounding up the cast to get their reactions immediately after the live and answer fan questions via Twitter. “This is going to be character-driven so a lot more words to say – that’s the nervy bit”.

And according to one of the main players in this highly-anticipated episode, the terror we will see in her eyes is real!

Speaking of LIVE episode nerves, O’Brien’s Corrie co-star, Brooke Vincent, has also been revealing her fears of messing up the epic occasion.

“It will be tension with the Platts, and laughter with the Websters and everyone’s poised to see what happens with Roy, and of course farewell to Lloyd and Andrea”, she said.

Not a good sign Coronation Street's Barbara Knox who plays Rita Sullivan- was reportedly forced to pull out of a crucial live show rehearsal due to an unspecified illness on Sunday ahead of the special screening on Wednesday
