Coroner: Identifying Lake Tahoe Plane Crash Victims Will Be hard
“So it’s scary to any resident that lives in Lake Tahoe that we may have another huge Angora fire where we lose a bunch of homes”, the resident, Melissa, said.

She said fire damage to the house is significant, but it could have been worse given the woodsy location.
It’s not known if Conrad Yu, the owner of the single-engine Beech 35 Bonanza, was aboard the plane when it crashed into pine trees about 5:40 p.m.
So far, it is unknown if anyone aboard the plane was injured in the crash.
She said the pair inside the home, which included San Francisco playwright Rod McFadden, rushed outside without shoes and headed back to San Francisco. NTSB investigator Maja Smith told Sacramento TV station KCRA that witnesses reported that the plane crashed in gusty winds that were changing rapidly.
Mr McFadden had been in town for a three-day performance festival on the shores of South Lake Tahoe. “We grabbed the dog”, he said.
The incident was unusual and surreal, Ramirez told ABC 10.
Federal Aviation Administration records showed Yu owned the aircraft.
The FAA and the National Transportation Security Board will investigate the crash.
