Shevy McGiffin vanished Friday night after she went to a store near her house in Clarion, Pennsylvania State Police said.

McGiffin had been missing since Friday, when she left her Clarion County home, on Fraternity Drive, at 7:15 p.m., according to that news site.

Her father believes she was abducted when she went to a Dollar General about one-fifth of a mile from her home. “She is a very lovable girl. She would never run away”, Schneider told ExploreClarion.com.

Shaffer acknowledged that police are still checking into “rumors” in the case, including one that an older man in a vehicle was seen talking to the girl near the store.

Family members identified the remains, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

Officials have not released the cause or manner of her death.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help her family with funeral expenses and can be found HERE.
