Corruption is the core value of BJP’s ideology: AAP’s Ashutosh
The issue had nothing to do with the government and the haste with which it has been dealt will give political mileage to BJP’s opponents like Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), sources inside RSS said. The BJP has suspended Azad for campaigning against Jaitley on the same issue.

This happened a day after party veterans L.K. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Shanta Kumar and Yashwant Sinha, now in the party’s Margdarshak Mandal – which many see as a sign of their having been sidelined – took stock of the situation.
Parliamentarian Kirti Azad has questioned his suspension from the BJP and drafted a letter to party chief Amit Shah clarifying his stand on the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) row.
Sources said the decision to meet was taken last night after Kirti telephoned one of the group.
Unlike their last meeting on November 10 when they had issued a scathing statement against the party leadership, there was no immediate public comment this time round with sources close to them saying that they will raise their issues at an “opportune” time and forum.
“As you have not mentioned DDCA corruption, I believe that the party has nothing to do with this matter and is purely out of its purview…”, Mr Azad writes, refuting the BJP’s allegation of “indiscipline” and bringing the party “disrepute”, and asking for “an opportunity to clear his name on serious charges of anti-party activity”. He said he’d also assist Azad in drafting the reply to the suspension letter, adding Azad was still a party member.
“We decided not to speak to the media, put out statements or do anything that would damage the BJP’s interests”, said Kumar, a Lok Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh.
In a related development, over 100 supporters of Azad, who was in the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 World Cup, staged a noisy protest outside the BJP headquarters here against his suspension. That either elicited any reply from the party or led to any corrective action.
Asked about the meet, BJP spokesperson Shrikant Sharma said: “They are our respected seniors”.
The AAP and the Congress have come out in support of Azad, who reiterated on Wednesday that his suspension was “unfortunate” and that his fight was against corruption and not any individual. It is under them that we have reached here.
The four veterans, who met for about an hour at Mr. Joshi’s residence, are understood to have also discussed the Kirti Azad issue.

He said he would seek a court-monitored probe into the alleged DDCA irregularities.
