Regardless, she points out the defamation lawsuit is over allegations of her husband drugging and sexually assaulting the women NOT about where the drugs came from.

Montgomery County, Pa., prosecutors have charged Cosby with three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Bill Cosby‘s lawyers went on the attack Thursday after the comedian’s arrest, calling the sexual assault charges a flawed, politically motivated case that will not hold up in court.
Camille Cosby, 71, is fighting a deposition subpoena filed by a lawyer representing seven women who have accused her comedian husband of sexual assault.
Some accusers have said they felt discouraged from going public because of Cosby’s fame, power, and reputation as “America’s dad”.
Pennsylvania has a 12-year statute of limitations on felony sex crimes, meaning prosecutors had until January to bring charges against Cosby, 78.
She settled a civil case against Cosby for an undisclosed sum in 2006.
The first hearing in the case against Bill Cosby is set to take place on January 14th.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles district attorney is reviewing an investigation of Cosby’s behavior conductd by the local police department in 2008, meaning the case falls within the statute of limitations. But even though excerpts from Cosby’s recently unsealed deposition in Constand’s civil lawsuit against him were used in the affadavit attached to Wednesday’s criminal complaint, Pressley indicated that Cosby’s eyebrow-raising admission, in that deposition, of obtaining Quaaludes for sex would be a non-issue in this case.
When asked if Cosby would take a plea deal, Pressley stated that she and her client would not consider “any sort of arrangement”.
She said everything will be made clear once they are allowed to speak.
In documents filed Wednesday, her legal team claims that by law she shouldn’t have testify against her spouse. “Rather, reopening this case was our duty as law enforcement officers”, Steele said.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said no one was available Thursday to comment on allegations that the Cosby charges are political.
But his attorneys have repeatedly denied any wrongdoing by Cosby, who has gone from megastar to pariah in the face of the allegations, which span four decades.
After she reported the assault to police, the case quickly became a game of “he said/she said” for investigators.
The comedian was marched to court for the first time yesterday following accusations he drugged and raped dozens of women.
Constand’s lawyer has said Constand is gay and was dating a woman around the time she met Cosby in the early 2000s.
Before Cosby was charged, he was the centerpiece of Montco DA-elect Kevin Steele’s campaign.
In the deposition, Cosby said he fondled Constand that night, taking her silence as a green light.

In prior court filings, lawyers for the Cosbys had said the plaintiffs’ bid to depose Camille Cosby was a “thinly veiled attempt to pressure [Bill Cosby] in the face of subjecting his wife to the shame and embarrassment of responding to questions about his alleged infidelities and sexual misconduct”.
