Cosby ‘planned to give women drugs’

Cosby, 77, testified in 2005 that he purchased the powerful prescription medication Quaaludes to drug women he wanted to have sex with, documents unearthed by the Associated Press Monday revealed. In these documents, Cosby admitted that he obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with.

Cosby settled that lawsuit under confidential terms in 2006.

According to the filing, Cosby’s lawyer, Patrick O’Connor, said the “Cosby Show” star got the drugs in the ’70s and suggested that he may have kept them for decades after that. Over a dozen women have accused Cosby of sexual assault, and while the comedian has never officially been charged, maybe this new evidence (plus Allred’s tenacity) would actually pin something on Cosby. At that point, Cosby’s lawyer objected, stopping his client from answering. However, according to the testimony of two other women testifying on behalf of Constand, they knowingly accepted quaaludes from Cosby.

He’s been battling with the Associated Press to block the release of the testimony, which his lawyers said would “embarrass” the 77-year-old. She alleged that soon after taking the pills, her “knees began to shake, her limbs felt immobile, she felt dizzy and weak” and “barely conscious”. In 2006, Ferrier went public with what she claimed was a years-long affair in the 1980s with Cosby, who she said drugged her.

If you didn’t want to believe the rape allegations against Bill Cosby were true, you just may now. Now unsealed for the first time, they’re confirming what his countless accusers have said from the beginning. The judge ruled that Cosby’s potential embarrassment was insufficient. The man they are accusing is “a man I do not know”, she said. “We then have sex”.

As Cosby’s accusers have increased in number, the entertainer has alternately denied any wrongdoing and refused to answer questions about the allegations.
