Trump on Clinton, Bush: ‘We view this as war’
Later in his speech, Trump remarked that “the last thing [Clinton] wants in her whole life” is to face him in a general election. Clinton’s public comments came as President Obama was in a re-election campaign making claims al-Qaida was “on the run”.

But Steele also talked a lot about Cosby, whom Castor once declined to prosecute for the same, decade-old allegations of assault that led to the new felony charges against the comedian.

In the deposition, Cosby said he put his hands down Constand’s trousers that night and fondled her, taking her silence as a green light. Reporter: The charge filed just weeks before the statute of limitations was set to run out and as Cosby’s court appearance ended yesterday the judge said to him good luck, sir to which he replayed thank you.

Prosecutors in Pennsylvania are set to announce whether Bill Cosby will be charged over an encounter with a woman 12 years ago.

Late on Wednesday, Cosby’s legal team described the charges against the comedian as “unjustified” but not surprising, “coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county’s DA during which this case was made the focal point”.

But even if you take Cosby’s version at face value, Steele argues that his conduct supports a charge of sexual assault. Earlier this year, damaging excerpts of his deposition in the civil suit were released, showing Cosby acknowledged obtaining drugs to give to women he sought for sex.

She said he’s been “unjustly accused”, that he is the victim of “a game of political football”, and that he is confident he will be exonerated in a trial.

The comedian has long denied allegations of sexual abuse that have been lodged by more than 40 women.

More than 50 woman have come forward over the years, but Wednesday’s charge is related to one single case in which Andrea Constand is the alleged victim. Cosby then urged her to take three pills and insisted she drink wine to relax.

Her position suggests there will indeed be a trial of Cosby in 2016, in what would be the first sensational celebrity criminal trial of the Twitter age.

Following a lawsuit launched shortly after the alleged incident, Ms Constand and Mr Cosby settled out of court for an undisclosed sum and signed a confidentiality agreement. However, there is a new district attorney who’s filed criminal charges just before the statute of limitations expired.

According to Pressly, the charged levelled at Cosby is politically motivated, due to the recently elected DA promising voters in Pennsylvania’s Montgomery County that charging Cosby would be one of his top priorities.

Constand, who is now 42 and lives in Toronto, welcomed the charges, said her lawyer, Dolores Troiani.

“Cosby added that no one else would be present and that she should dress in comfortable clothing”, the document states. “So if a judge chooses to consider from a prosecutor such testimony, then we will deal with that at that time”.

Constand expressed gratitude via her legal team for the “consideration, courtesy and professionalism” of Steele’s team. Thompson said she did “sort of a happy dance, and then I called a fellow survivor”. “And since yesterday, I’ve had even more contacts from even more women”, she said.

The AP generally does not identify people who say they have been sexually assaulted unless they agree to have their names published, as Constand has done. In other interviews, Castor has said he thought Cosby “probably did do something inappropriate”, but didn’t feel he had the evidence to prove it.
