Bill Cosby has sued seven women who accused him of sexually assaulting them years ago for defamation.

On Monday, Bill Cosby filed a countersuit against 7 of the almost 60 women who have accused him of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them, claiming that their allegations were “malicious, opportunistic, false, and defamatory”. Indeed, anyone would be angry about someone “engaging in a campaign to assassinate” their character, and its understandable that someone would want to get compensation if someone else ruined a job prospect.

His lawyer said the claims have been part of an effort to extract financial gains and had discredited the actor’s reputation.

Striking back against the allegations of the seven women named in the counterclaims, Cosby contends that his reputation has been damaged, as well as his “honorable legacy”, by the accusations of sexual abuse they have made against him.

How bad has it gotten for the 78-year-old Cosby that he has decided to choose a strategy that may require him to testify under oath?

“If anyone is surprised by Cosby’s actions today, they shouldn’t be”, Joseph Cammarata explained.

Furthermore, Cosby claims the women’s motivation was to “torpedo” his upcoming TV comeback by fabricating these claims in hopes he’d pony up big-bucks settlements, claiming they just want his money. More accusers came forward.

Embattled comedian Bill Cosby has launched a countersuit against seven women who have accused him of sexual misconduct. Cosby’s attorney has previously denied Goins’ accusations, which are now also being reviewed by Los Angeles prosecutors for a possible criminal case. It’s the largest of the half dozen civil lawsuits filed against Cosby in recent months.
