Coughing Clinton: ‘Every time I think about Trump I get allergic’

HILLARY Clinton began a Labor Day rally in Cleveland with a bad cough – which she blamed on her opponent, Donald Trump.

Mrs Clinton arrived in OH aboard a new blue-and-white Boeing 737 campaign plane emblazoned with her slogan, “Stronger Together”.

Clinton boarded the plane at Westchester County Airport on Monday morning, headed for a series Labor Day events in OH and IL.

Clinton said it was “interesting that this activity has happened around the time Trump became the nominee” and said the Republican nominee’s ties to Putin – including glowing statements – “raises even more serious questions about Trump”.

Speaking with reporters later, Trump knocked Obama over his visit to China for a Group of 20 nations summit.

He said that his message to voters will be “all about jobs now”.

He insisted that, as president, he would prioritize deportation of criminal immigrants and build a massive wall along the Mexican border.

Any immigrants who want full citizenship must return to their countries of origin and get in the queue, he told reporters – but he would not rule out a pathway to legal status for the millions living in the United States illegally, as he did in a long-awaited policy speech last week.

Clinton shot back by recalling Trump’s meeting with Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto and how Trump “can’t even go to a foreign country without” triggering a feud with a world leader.

The statement conflicts with a line in last week’s address, when he declared: “For those here illegally today, who are seeking legal status, they will have one route and one route only”. He says Trump played nice only to return home “to dump on them” for his own political benefit.

The possibility of Russian involvement in cyber intrusions that were revealed in July “raises some grave questions about potential Russian interference with our electoral process”, Mrs Clinton told reporters on her campaign plane as she flew to a rally in IL. “We’re going to be here a lot”.

Clinton’s comments follow reports that the Russian government may have been involved in the hacking of Democratic National Committee emails just days before the party’s national convention.

“I am not concerned about the conspiracy theories”, she said. “I’ve been just waiting for this moment”, said Clinton, perhaps in gentle jest, to three dozen media members in the back of her plane.

Mr Trump told reporters that he does plan to take part in all three presidential debates, joking that only a “hurricane” or “natural disaster” would prevent him from attending.

It’s perhaps lucky for Trump that Fox is ludicrously being treated as an outlet that isn’t a PR arm of the Republican party, especially as the last debate will stick in the public’s mind. I look forward to the debates. “Obviously, I did well in the debates”.

“We’re going to make that decision into the future”, Trump said.

She paused to sip water before managing to quip, in a crackling voice, that “every time I think about Trump I get allergic”.

The most recent Reuters/Ipsos poll on Friday showed Trump had the support of 40 percent of likely voters to 39 percent for Clinton, erasing her recent eight-point lead. “She doesn’t have a clue”.

Her husband, former president Bill Clinton, is attending events in MI and Ohio.

“I take classification seriously”, she said.
