Could Hillary Clinton win over Sanders supporters in a general election?
At rallies across New Hampshire, women from every generation have flocked to Bernie Sanders’ events.

Both the Democratic front-runner and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, are unhappy with the direction of the campaign’s messaging and digital operations and were already considering changing staff and campaign strategy after the four early-voting states.
Sen. Bernie Sanders speaks during a campaign stop at the Palace Theatre, in Manchester, N.H., on February 8, 2016.
Speaking from the pulpit at House of Prayer Memorial Baptist Church, Clinton told a largely African-American audience that what has happened in Flint, where untreated water has been contaminated with lead, is not just an environmental crisis, but one deeply imbued with race.
“You guys say you’re running a positive campaign, but it was your campaign that made 25 separate inquires in the mere space of 30 minutes trying to loot information [from Hillary Clinton’s campaign] out of computers”, Clinton said. Once the primary reaches SC, it will kick off a run of states that Clinton will be favored to win. DePaul political science student Lincoln Berget donated for the first time to a political campaign as a Sanders supporter. “You’re just for me or against me”, Clinton said and the crowd laughed. “He’s had the same views forever, and he’s never budged”.
“You know what? I’ll make it easier for you”, Clinton told the young girl. “But it was electrifying to see this small group of people passionately cheer as he went further and further down his list”.
She said: “When you’re young, you’re thinking “Where are the boys?”
Wearing a lumberjack shirt and dark jeans, and in his trademark conversational style, he cited an episode when Sanders aides had helped themselves to voter data gathered by the Clinton campaign, mocking their defence as equivalent to protesting that it was legitimate to steal a auto if the keys had been left in the ignition.
Arthur Lupia, a political science professor at the Center for Political Studies at the University of MI, said Clinton was accusing Sanders of being inconsistent by not following through with his pledge.
The 42nd president also called Sanders a hypocrite over fundraising, because while the self-described democratic socialist has given Clinton flak for her ties to Wall street, he himself has raised considerable cash from finance lobbyists at Democratic Party retreats in Palm Beach and Martha’s Vineyard.

Clinton’s advisers often point out how hard it was for President Barack Obama to convince a Democratic-led Congress to support the Affordable Care Act in 2010. “It’s not done. There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other”, she added emphatically, repeating a well-known chorus of hers. Friday in Manchester Clinton stood on stage with New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan, four women US senators and the woman for whom an equal pay law is named, Lilly Ledbetter.
