Could Lenovo be releasing a 10x Optical Zoom phone?
This morning, Motorola, rather than scaling back its product line, announced two new flagship smartphones, the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force. The Moto Z lineup will replace the Moto X and the Moto X Force will be last device in that series.

The Moto Z has a 5.5-inch display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and up to 30 hours of battery life. Once snapped on, they add up to 22 hours of battery life.
It seems Lenovo heard about the average camera on the Moto X Force and has give the Z Force a significant bump with a 21-megapixel camera, featuring: optical image-stabilisation, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and laser autofocus.
The speaker weighs in at 145 g (more than the phone itself) and adds 13mm of thickness.
“The Moto Z Droids are wonderful devices by themselves, but we wanted to work with Motorola to introduce something entirely new that would inspire customers to get excited about smartphones again”, said Jeff Dietel, Verizon’s vice president of wireless devices, in a press release.
Another Moto Mod module is the JBL SoundBoost, a speaker with its own kickstand and battery that provides up to 10 hours of sound. These additional features of the Moto Z will be presented as optional for consumers depending on their necessities. They’ll be available in the summer of 2016 through Verizon with the phones Moto Z DROID Edition and Moto Z Force DROID Edition, while the Moto Z (unlocked, GSM) will be available through moto.com “and various retailers” this Fall.
There is a lot of good to be said about the new Motos – a lot of it has already been said – but there is still a but.
Joining the Moto Z is the successor to one of my favourite phones of 2015 – the Moto Z Force.
As you can see, Motorola hasn’t yet announced pricing for any of these accessories.
From Google’s highly anticipated Project Ara to the quirky LG G5 and its switchable bottom bezel, modular phones are coming closer to a reality.
These backings are called Moto Mods and they connect to the phones using 16 magnetic pins located on the back.
Lenovo kicked off the show with YouTube star Meghan McCarthy showing off two awesome prototypes – actual flexible, foldable phones and tablets. Initial Moto Mods include a projector attachment that can beam a 70-inch screen onto any wall, a JBL stereo speaker attachment, and a battery pack. Here’s all you need to know about the new Motorola modular bolt-ons. It includes a kick-stand and 1100 mAh of battery life for an extra one hour of projecting.
You can choose from premium materials like real wood and leather, or pick out a patterned fabric.

The accessory is a bit on the thick side, but is probably not something anybody but the biggest media buffs will be pocketing and taking with them, at least not while it’s attached to their phone.
