It’s important to note that to date, these features are only available for the Office 365 enterprise as well as the Skype for Business Plan 2.

Microsoft is adding a host of new features to Skype for Business, including the ability to broadcast meetings to as many as 10,000 people. The current platform supports up to 250 attendees at once. There, they can pause the discussion, rewind, and view content. Bing Pulse has been integrated in with it for live polling and similar features, as well as Yammer for “dialogue” between users.

MIcrosoft has launched a preview of its Skype for Business, allowing Office 365 users to try out some neat beta features. This traditional dial-in capability is in addition to simple, single touch join options on PC, smartphone and browser, and allows people to join an online meeting even in places with no Internet access.

To entrée the Cloud PBX service whilst it is in the preview stage, both callers would have to be situated in the USA for now. though, educational and government customers would not be capable to access the aspect.

The Cloud PBX with PSTN Calling feature lets Office 365 subscribers use the Skype for Business client to “make and receive traditional phone calls”. Later this year, we will ship Cloud PBX for customers worldwide, with a configuration option for customers to use existing on-premises phone lines for inbound and outbound calling.

Serafin also said that Microsoft’s strategic partners – AT&T, BT, Colt, Equinix, Level 3 Communications, Orange Business Services, TATA Communications, Telstra, Verizon and Vodafone – would begin offering direct connections to Office 365 Skype for Business later in the year through Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365, Microsoft’s dedicated networking service.
