With Donald Trump’s presidential hopes showing all the uplift of a rock falling off a cliff, Democrats are suddenly sniffing a victory that could extend past the White House into the Republican-controlled Congress.

A Clinton campaign volunteer canvassing the Warren County neighborhood of $350,000-plus homes gave her a voter registration form.

The Republican Party appears to be finally be getting the message that funding Trump’s campaign is a waste of resources. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday and conducted from October 20 to October 24 found that 41 percent of Republicans now expect Clinton to win the election, versus 40 percent for Trump.

In West Virginia, historically a Democratic stronghold state, Republicans took control of the state’s House, Senate, and governor’s office in 2014 for the first time in 83 years. He claims that the media and the polling systems are “rigged” to work against Trump and to benefit Democrat Hillary Clinton. He went on to fire up supporters for 10 minutes without once mentioning Trump’s name.

Murphy said if Clinton wins the presidency but the GOP retains control of the Senate, they could hold up appointments, like they did with President Barack Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court, and “essentially try to stop her from populating her administration to make it feckless”.

But Trump’s struggles and soured Republican voters have long-suffering Texas Democrats now daring to dream what seemed unimaginable only a few months ago.

“Trump has falsely and repeatedly told his supporters that the November 8 election will be “rigged” based upon fabricated claims of voter fraud in “certain areas” or “certain sections” of key states”, the suit says.

“I believe the race is competitive”, said Austin-based Republican consultant Brendan Steinhauser, who ran Texas Sen.

Last week RNC counsel John Ryder wrote a letter to members across the country telling them to avoid any “ballot security” activities because of the decades-long lawsuit, according to the Wall Street Journal. Trump just goes even farther than most of the party’s disgruntled factions. “But the suburbs are going to be a potential huge problem for him”.

The top races have accumulated huge price tags already, with millions more still to be spent in the final days of the race.

As Election Day draws closer, that assessment is even more true now. But federal disclosures show only a handful of spots in Houston and Dallas, where it would take millions of dollars to saturate airwaves. Democrats have spent a whopping $61 million there from the beginning of the year through midweek, and Republicans almost that much at $56 million, according to Republicans monitoring ad buys.

“We’ve kind of wound down”.

“It’s going to be nationalized”, Nehlen said of his quixotic bid to become speaker, accusing Ryan of “backstabbing our nominee”. “This means that we feel that the prospect that Democrats will have at least 51 seats is greater than the odds of a tied Senate, or of Republicans somehow holding their majority”. “Unlike Hillary, who has been fundraising and not out and about, he has constantly been out and about”. Even better, she said, her house, egged three times in 2012, had remained yolk-free this year.

Post said Democratic candidates are offering voters “a crucial firewall against Republican overreach” in states dominated by Republicans, like North Carolina, where there has been a backlash against a law on use of public bathrooms that critics say discriminates against transgender people. Khan later said it is still too hard for her to talk about her son’s death.
