Couple identified as suspects in California mass shooting
Farook had traveled to Saudi Arabia two years ago, they said, and came back with a wife, Malik, whom he’d met online.

Here are five things about Farook and what is known about the suspects. “I do not know what type of long gun”.
One or more gunmen opened fire at a social services center in the Southern California city of San Bernardino in the USA on Wednesday, shooting as many as 20 people, authorities said. Farook, who was Muslim, may have been “radicalized”, the network’s sources say.
He continued: “I have no idea why would [Farook] do that, why would he do something like this”.
They were killed in a shootout with 21 police officers.
Burguan told reporters that Farook angrily left an office holiday party earlier Wednesday before returning with Malik.
Mr. Farook was an environmental health specialist for the San Bernardino County government, which gave him access without suspicion to the building where the pair killed 14 people and wounded 17 others.
It was not clear if the man had any relationship to the suspects, but Burguan expressed confidence there were just two shooters present at the Inland centre.
Authorities also detained an individual seen running away from the vehicle, but investigators were not immediately sure that person was involved in the case, Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said at a news conference.
The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations denounced the killings as Farook’s brother-in-law, Farhan Khan, prepared to speak at a press conference later in the evening. They were armed with assault rifles and handguns, he said. “There are some steps we could take, not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don’t happen as frequently”. The couple had a 6-month-old daughter, whom they left Wednesday morning with Farook’s mother.
Baccari described Farook as reserved and said he showed no signs of unusual behaviour.
Burguan said he knew of no possible motive behind the attack, which unfolded at about 11am local time.
