According to Alabama.com, the three married couples had just attended a dental conference and left a total of 11 children behind. Six people were confirmed dead and investigations have confirmed that there were three couples on board. Investigators hope to marry the two in order to determine the working order of the aircraft.

Tuscaloosa police Lt. Teena Richardson said the aircraft had a final destination of Oxford but developed engine problems. One of them was enrolled at Ole Miss, where classes start next week.
She said the NTSB preliminary report will be released in about 10 days, and the factual report will be released in about a year.
Kemner says the flight log book has been located and crews are still searching for the maintenance papers.

The names of all victims were not immediately released but WLBT-TV reports that Memphis defense attorney Steve Farese said his nephew Dr. Jason Farese and his wife, Dr. Lea Farese, were aboard the plane. Kim Perry was certified as a women’s and family nurse practitioner and had worked for the university’s student health center since 2007. They are survived by young children, the Eagle reported.
