The three victims of a grisly crossbow attack in Scarborough last week have been identified as the alleged murderer’s mother and brothers. The other man has been released from hospital.

The victims of a freakish triple murder that involved a crossbow in Scarborough Village are believed to be the relatives of the man accused in the killing.
Carbone said the woman died from ligature strangulation and the two male victims found nearby were fatally stabbed in the neck with a crossbow bolt and an arrowhead in what he described as an “unusual” incident.
According to investigators, two of the “lifeless bodies” were found in a garage and the third on the adjacent driveway.
Police said at a news conference Monday that Susan Ryan was strangled to death. Speaking to the Star, a neighbour said Susan Ryan had four sons, two of whom lived in the Lawndale Road home where the attacks took place.
“He said, “Call 9-1-1, my brother is bleeding in the driveway”.
“He said, ‘Call 911.make sure the police come, make sure the police come'”.
Neighbours said Baxter is a physiotherapist at a downtown hospital.
Brett Ryan, 35, of Toronto, was arrested and is facing three first-degree murder charges.
Toronoto’s Scarborough suburb on the East End was the scene last week of an apparent crossbow attack that left three dead.
Toronto police spokesman Mark Pugash confirmed they are Brett Ryan’s mother and brothers. He was dubbed the “fake beard bandit” because of a phony beard he allegedly wore during the incidents. He was eventually sentenced to more than three years in prison.
At a news conference Monday, police urged anyone who had contact with the suspect – particularly between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on August 25 – to call and speak with police.
The same day of the killings, a suspicious package was investigated at a Queen’s Quay condo tower. It was searched by the bomb squad Thursday and “items” were found but they “were not of any danger to members of the public”, he added.
