A court in Rawalpindi directed customs officials to handover supermodel Ayyan’s passport back to her, local media reported on Wednesday.
As per the court’s order, Ayyan Ali’s property would be frozen if she failed to return from overseas.
Earlier this day, Customs Department submitted reply in the court saying that accused may flee the country if returned passport which may affect the investigation of currency smuggling case against her.
Ayyan’s name has been placed on the Exit Control List, amid rumours that she will try to flee Pakistan after she was officially charged on November 19. A customs officer stated that other suspects were also involved in the plan.

They maintained that the authorities had seized three passports from Ayyan when she was arrested in March. Ayyan was arrested from the airport after she was about to board a Dubai-bound flight. Following her release, the “Dollar Girl” has had to attend several hearings of the court, before she was finally indicted last Thursday.
