Courtois confident Hiddink can lead Chelsea the way
Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo said “palpable discord between manager and players” was a factor in Mourinho’s dismissal, but Terry said player unrest was not the reason for his departure.

Guus Hiddink returned to Chelsea for a second term as manager on Saturday, hired until the end of the season with the tough task of turning around the struggling Premier League champions after Jose Mourinho’s firing.
“There’s nothing we can do about that”.
Ivanovic, who became a first-team regular under his guidance, believes the boss’s experience can help the Blues turn around the situation but warned that the challenge now is different to the one he had in his first spell at the club.
Terry added, “It’s down to [Hiddink] to come in and pick us up”. The 52-year-old Portuguese says he intends to get back into a job as soon as possible, but in the meantime will be helping “friends” in the cut-throat business of football management.
John Terry expects Guus Hiddink to shake things up at Chelsea following his appointment as interim manager over the weekend.
“He was here before, he did very well and I think he’s a very good manager”, Courtois told the official Chelsea website.
The win pulled Chelsea three points clear of the relegation zone after just their fifth victory in 17 league games this season. Obviously disappointment as well in a lot of them, and rightly so in what he has achieved at the club.
“We’re big enough to stand up and be counted for, and today we needed everyone, and everyone was superb today”. Some of the players had already gone by the time he came in.
Chelsea are expected to make changes during next month’s transfer window, but the vast majority of their players are likely to stay, with one or two new recruits brought in. “We have some days off scheduled now and I guess early next week we’ll start the plan for the next match”.
Chelsea first-team coach Steve Holland hailed the attitude of the Blues players after they earned a much-needed win against Sunderland. “Good luck in the future”, said Fabregas on Twitter after Mourinho’s sacking last Thursday.
“They have got some very, very good players who can pose a lot of questions”.
