Cowboys bus in crash, 4 people killed

Four people were killed when a Dallas Cowboys tour bus and a minivan crashed near Dolan Springs, Arizona Sunday afternoon.

The bus was traveling from Irving, Texas to GameWorks in Town Square Las Vegas for a fan event.

Among those on board the team bus were DallasCowboys.com columnist Mickey Spagnola, a team mascot and a team videographer. However, they suffered only minor injuries.

Troopers are investigating a deadly crash on USA 93 between Kingman and Las Vegas, NV on Sunday. A Dallas Cowboys bus collided with another vehicle and authorities say at least one person was killed.

No other information was immediately available.

He says people were already waiting when an organizer called and said the event would have to be canceled because of the crash. Cooper says the team mascot was supposed to appear. He didn’t know if any players were expected. The two vehicles collided after the van made an illegal left turn onto the highway.

The accident took place 28 miles north of Kingman, Arizona, which is in the northwestern corner of the state.

Dalrymple said the bus was only carrying members of the franchise’s staff but would not say how many.

The crash shut down at least one lane of the highway that serves as the main route between Las Vegas and Phoenix.
