There was nothing controversial about it. The Cowboys were just 1-of-11 on third down and 0-for-2 on fourth down.

You say that the Cowboys are still mathematically in the race for that disgusting NFC East championship that’ll likely be crowned after all regular-season festivities conclude on Week 17? He dropped two passes. McFadden broke off two huge runs, one of which was sprung by La’el Collins, who proceeded to run step for step with the running back for 45 yards. “The Cowboys ran the ball, ran pretty well, but again, if you can’t pass the ball in this league, you have little chance of winning”.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Dez Bryant made a catch in a road game against the Packers, but it was subsequently overturned on review. “I look for him to have a very good week of practice”. “We had some opportunities to throw and catch”. The youngster has good speed, great hands, and can run terrific routes, but the best news of all is the fact that Dez Bryant would be opposite the young man, limiting what opposing defenses could run at the youngster. The journeyman quarterback failed to complete half his passes and finished with just 3.9 yards per attempt.
The Packers rushed for 233 yards, including 124 by running back Eddie Lacy. Able to get into manageable down and distance calls for the most part, the passing game kept it pretty simple with quick routes outside, checkdowns and another week of effective screen plays.
It’s something they couldn’t truly grasp on offense or defense as Bryant’s drops were offset by a defense that continually missed tackles. With Green Bay nursing a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter, James Starks’ run up the middle for a 30-yard touchdown to finally put a brutal game out of its misery (sorry, national TV audience). There is concern, they have lost four of their last six games as the Aaron Rodgers-led offense has sputtered.
On the season, the Green Bay Packers average 229.8 yards in passing and 111.7 yards in rushing.
-RB James Starks had 71 rushing yards and 32 receiving yards to finish with 103 yards from scrimmage.
The Packers (9-4) face the Oakland Raiders on December 20. In the battle of the quarterbacks, I’ll take Rodgers over Cassel any day of the week.
Cornerback Sam Shields was the only player who was injured and did not return for the Packers. But after lackluster offensive performances for almost two months, McCarthy wielded the large, laminated play sheet and got back on the headsets again. The key play was a 46-yard run by McFadden. Both teams are in position to earn a playoff berth when they face each other Sunday (KPTV-12, (Fox), 1:25 p.m. PT/4:25 p.m. ET).
McCarthy will resume the play-calling duties immediately this afternoon and it should have a very positive impact on the Packers’ offense. We were able to execute and get off the field on a third down.
