Cowboys leaning towards McFadden, no interest in Jackson

Kendall Hunter (RB) – San Francisco 49ers – Hunter compiled seven carries for 15 yards on Saturday when the 49ers took on the Denver Broncos in the teams third preseason game. And what Dallas showed last weekend in their preseason game against Minnesota should be the blueprint they follow this season. But it eventually wore off en route to a near MVP season with 31 touchdowns and only nine interceptions, while leading the league completion percentage and quarterback rating. However, for fantasy owners the problem will be predicting which RB Dallas will ask to carry the load “week to week” or if the Cowboys will ride the “hot hand” during in-game situations. Randle couldn’t get anything going, but the Cowboys were able to find some weaknesses.

Going with that approach is going to put more pressure on Romo and their offensive line this year, but they seem comfortable with that for the time being.

“The biggest thing with him is getting healthy and getting him a chance to play”. “When it’s time to play, you have to just be ready”.

The Cowboys tried to establish Randle early on in the game, looking to see if they could exploit the middle of the Vikings defense.

Who’s running the ball this season in Dallas?

For both the PUP and the NFI lists, “Reserve” designates a player who doesn’t count against a roster limit, be it the 90-man, 75-man, or the 53-man limit.

But McClain will be back on the field for Oct. 11 game against the New England Patriots rather than the Oct. 25 game at the New York Giants.

“But sometimes the dirty ones are some of the best ones too”.

I cannot project who the Cowboys could go after as a free agent, waiver-wire pickup or trade, but I will look at positions that could see upgrades and additions or could give them some pieces to deal.

But vice president Stephen Jones said the team will keep an eye out for a young running back to add to the mix as cuts are announced over the next week.

While he was held out of the last game and most certainly won’t play Thursday in the preseason finale, wide receiver Dez Bryant practiced with his teammates Monday night at AT&T Stadium.

A year ago, the Cowboys entered the season looking for more balance on the offensive side of the ball. Instead, Beasley only added to it with status as the team’s primary punt returner in 2015.

They actually expected him to be better this year because he was able to fully participate in team practices and training since the OTAs, something that he has not done in the past two years. His attempts were down as a result of a change in philosophy dictating more running but his numbers were still sensational.
