Cowboys’ long skid threatens to make Romo’s return pointless

Jordan Matthews caught nine passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, while DeMarco Murray racked up early 80 yards receiving in addition to his 83 rushing yards.

Hardy, the Dallas Cowboys’ vilified defensive end, was about to make a game-turning play in overtime Sunday night at AT&T Stadium – a stomach-turning development for a large segment of the viewing public. Here is a look at the team grades for the Dallas Cowboys after their 33-27 overtime loss to the Eagles on Sunday night.

He was 24 of 44 for 334 yards with two touchdowns and an interception at the time of the injury.

Early touchdowns from Julian Edelman and LeGarrette Blount were the catalyst for the New England Patriots to see off the Washington Redskins 27-10 for their eighth win from eight this season. His pick six I think was the difference in the game.

Bradford didn’t check down or throw this pass behind anyone.

Bryant was all over the field and took a lot of pressure off the other receivers. He found himself victimized by the smaller, quicker Cole Beasley. Cassel finished 25-for-38 for 299 yards with one interception, while Beasley caught nine passes for 112 yards.

-These wide receivers really aren’t very good and really need the running game to get open. Bryant, who caught five balls for more than 100 yards on eight targets. It happened in the red zone and almost cost the Eagles a touchdown.

-He didn’t kill it last night with six catches for 43 yards, but I love Jason Witten. It was a great game over all.

Darren McFadden also proved to be the running back Dallas needed to move the chains.

The Dallas Cowboys keep losing, and the memes are as cruel as ever, even if it’s the Philadelphia Eagles beating them, and Matt Cassel actually looked better in the loss. That was against New England, a team which they could play 16 times and may not win a single game. It was a tightly contested game from the beginning, and while the Eagles certainly didn’t look like world-beaters out there, they executed well enough and made big plays when necessary.

NOTES: Dallas lost linebackers Sean Lee (concussion) and Anthony Hitchens (ankle) on Philadelphia’s 95-yard scoring drive to start the second half.

Bradford hit Matthews in stride at the 20, just after Cowboys standout rookie corner Byron Jones slipped and fell, maybe because Matthews sold the “over” route so well, then broke the other way. Dallas defenders were dropping like flies with injuries, a few legitimate, some questionable.

Dallas (2-6) lost its sixth straight – all without quarterback Tony Romo – despite Dez Bryant’s first touchdown catch of the season in his second game after missing five with a broken right foot.

Hicks is known as “Simba” in the locker room, which is a nod to DeMeco Ryans, Hicks’ mentor, also known as “Mufasa”. DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews combined for 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The win bumps the Eagles back to.500, moving their record to 4-4 for the 2015 regular season.

Barry Church, J.J. Wilcox and Jeff Heath led the team in tackles. They haven’t forced takeaways. This is a game the defense couldn’t hold it together, and completely spoiled the revitalized offense of Dallas. Lucky Whitehead had a nice kick return that set up a touchdown. He returned a punt from the one, when he should have let it bounce into the end zone. He made good sound decisions in the pocket. Caleb Sturgis and Dan Bailey each traded a pair of field goals and we were going to overtime.

An Eagles team which can beat the opponents it is supposed to should really be 9-6 before the finale, or 8-7 at the worst. If you don’t do something after this victory, then that game wasn’t a turning point.

The Cowboys never saw the ball in overtime. Philadelphia entered the game with an NFL-high 19 takeaways.
