Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t happy with Ezekiel Elliott’s Seattle pot-shop visit

The Seattle Seahawks safety said he was surprised on the first collision that the rookie initiated contact. He was not seen making a purchase.

What Romo saw from the sideline was an impressive initial flash from rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott and a solid performance by backup QB Dak Prescott against one of the top defenses in the NFL.

Despite its budding legality across the country, marijuana is still banned by the NFL.

While neither of these things is necessarily an indictment of character on the 21-year-old just yet, Jones seems concerned about the path Elliott is paving for himself.

Elliott is also being investigated by the National Football League and the district attorney in Columbus, Ohio regarding a domestic violence accusation from his ex-girlfriend.

“Again that’s a part of just really getting the big picture here”, Jerry Jones said. “But it’s not good, It’s just not good”. So again, I’m aware of it. He has denied her accusations and wasn’t arrested with four witnesses reportedly telling Columbus, Ohio police that they didn’t witness any wrongdoing.

Romo underwent a pair of back surgeries in 2013, and he missed most of last season due to a broken left collarbone. “The second time, you know I’m bringing that wood”.

But as we go into the season, remember, it’s possible to believe Elliott can excel in the position he has placed in, while also questioning the Cowboys for taking a running back that high in the draft. “I think you guys can see that we have a chance to be a good unit”.

Elliott did not play in the first two preseason games because of a sore hamstring that forced him from practice on August 2 while the Cowboys were in Oxnard, California, for training camp.

Kerfuffle surrounding his alleged visit to a marijuana store aside, Elliott had a productive debut for the Cowboys, running for 48 yards on seven carries.
