Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, others continue to defend Greg Hardy’s behavior

Harris tied a team record by returning a kickoff 100 yards for the winning points in the fourth quarter against his former teammates and the Giants beat the mistake-prone Cowboys 27-20, handing Dallas its fourth straight loss since quarterback Tony Romo was hurt. He played a lot against New England, covering [Rob] Gronkowski and did a good job with that responsibility. He returned last week from an injured throwing shoulder, but he still doesn’t look like the guy who not too long ago was considered a budding superstar.

The Cowboys won’t be suspending Hardy for his actions as they think it’s good leadership. It’s a meritocracy that way. Now if you’re asking me if I’m confident that Cassel can help us win several of the next ballgames, I don’t know that. If Greg or anybody else kind of gets out of bounds a little bit or loses their focus a little bit, what we’ll do is try to bring them right back in. There was a time a few of us had to grow accustomed to players spiking the football and performing end-zone dances after touchdowns.

Garrett has a tricky situation to handle.

Hardy’s rant, though, was all the talk nationally Monday. It really isn’t going to disappear if the Cowboys continue talking about their long-term plans with Hardy.

The coach noted that Hardy’s outburst was not at the right time or place, but he has already talked to the player. I just didn’t realize who he was.

Perhaps Bisaccia or a special teams player should have visited the defensive huddle and encouraged those players to grab a turnover _ something they failed to do in the month of October.

Did his view change after getting an opportunity to watch an animated Hardy slap at a coach’s clipboard and shove several teammates?

“There is no issue”, Bryant told ESPN.

Hardy had no comment after the game.

His unsavory “guns blazing” remarks prior to his Cowboys debut were ill-advised, criticized and forced Jones to come to Hardy’s defense, per SI.com’s Melissa Jacobs. It could mean that, but the Cowboys insist that’s rarely what has led to Bryant’s past histrionics. Greg Hardy is forever going to be terrifying, and as the Cowboys start slipping without their star quarterback and wide receiver, don’t be surprised to see more of this from a Cowboys team full of large personalities. Her facial expressions in reaction to Jones’ comments said way more than what could be said in 140 characters.
